Ortega Ezquerro | Reserva | Rioja
80% Tempranillo, 15% Garnacha, 5% Graciano
Produced from vines that are over 70 years old located at 650 meters above sea level in Tuedelilla. The grapes are destalked and gently crushed, the temperature is controlled during fermentation and the wine is devatted after 15 days. The wine is then aged in barrels for 18 – 22 months, 60% second used American oak barrels and 40% in new French oak barrels, it is then bottled and remains resting in the cellar for a minimum of 12 – 14 months.
It has a bright deep garnet colour with aromas of red fruits blended with notes of vanilla and spices. Elegant and very round in the mouth with well-integrated oak. Long and complex with balsamic notes.
