Palazzo Lana Extreme Riserva | Franciacorta DOCG
100% Pinot Noir, from two vineyards, grown at high planting density, in Borgonato: Quindicipiò, on the hill, and Brolo, overlooking Palazzo Lana Berlucchi.
The “heart” of the free-run must, obtained by gentle, gradual pressing, undergoes alcoholic fermentation in steel vats; at the end, some batches are transferred to oak barrels, where they age for 6 months on the lees.
The cuvée is prepared in the spring following the harvest, using 100% of the vintage’s finest wines. Secondary fermentation in the bottle and subsequent aging on the lees for at least 9 years, followed by a minimum of 11 months after disgorgement.
Copious foam, persistent crown, very fine perlage Intense straw yellow, with rose gold reflections. Broad olfactory sensations, with hints of yellow-fleshed fruits and candied orange. On the palate it stands out for its great freshness, clean taste and structure, all harmonized by minerality and acidity, which determine great persistence and important longevity. This is a full-bodied Riserva that pairs beautifully with dishes rich in structure and flavour.
