Castello di Querceto is located in the heart of the Chianti Classico area and has been in the hands of the Francois family since 1897. It is famous for its expressive red wines and classic Chianti’s.

The vineyards, which sit 440 – 470 metres above sea level and extend around a 16th century castle, were planted between 1975 and 1985.

Castello di Querceto, located on top a hill in the Comune di Greve in Chianti, is surrounded by oaks and olive groves. The estate has played a key role in Tuscany’s “new wave,” introducing international varietals and contributing to the Super Tuscan movement.

The Francois family, who have managed the estate for generations, is dedicated to sustainable winemaking, adhering to the Viva Protocol for environmental protection and ethical standards. Their respect for the land and commitment to quality are evident in every bottle of their prestigious wines.
