Lagar de Besada is a family-run winery whose journey began in 1988, with the Rías Baixas DO, being one of the first wineries to join and adopting the Albariño variety as their distinctive feature.
Their approach is characterized by respect for the land, meticulous grape selection, a detailed winemaking process, appreciation for the passage of time, and, above all, humility. These are the elements that define the Lagar de Besada style.
The Lagar de Besada vineyards are located throughout the Salnés Valley, on small plots typical of the region’s “Galician minifundio.”
They use traditional trellising for cultivation, a system that optimizes leaf sun exposure and improves fruit ventilation. The bunches are compact, ripen early, and are medium-vigorous. The grapes are small, with golden and green hues, and give a delicate floral and fruity aroma. Their flavour is refreshing and smooth.
